A new Helsinki Generation takes shape

During a weekend of intense negotiations at the Hofburg, Vienna, 5-7 July 2008, friendships were forged and consensus reached on three difficult and realistic scenarios. About 130 participants from 30 OSCE participating States, aged 16-20, managed to find common ground despite their initial differences. The 2008 Model OSCE negotiations have started

35 OSCE participating States are currently gathered at the Hofburg in Vienna to seek solutions to security challenges related to terrorism and the use of Internet in Agitania; water management in the Central Asian region and the trafficking of Roma and Sinti children in Thule, Scandinavia.
